In 2 days of walking the PGA show, the best training aid we have seen here is PUR Truth. I am a big fan, I am going to order one for me and let my students use it.
I had a great experience with the PUR Trainer a couple of days ago. I was working with a 9-year-old girl who moved here from China less than a year ago. As you can imagine, there was a huge communication gap and trying to explain the best putting practices is difficult enough when speaking the same language, much less trying to get a point across in Chinese. It is important to note, based on her setup and swing, she is very talented and I believe she has a good over-all understanding of the game for her age. After spending a few minutes pointing, hand gesturing and with limited words, she started rolling a few putts using the PUR Trainer and she was showing signs of frustration as she kept hitting the gates and couldn’t seem to get the distance correct. So, I decided to change gears and I left her alone for no more than 2 to 3 minutes. To my astonishment, when I returned, she had her eyes directly over the ball, her putter was lined up perfectly and she was rolling most of them between the gates with some regularity. After another 3 to 4 minutes, she made three 15-foot putts in a row with a slight left to right break and she got the biggest smile across her face! I wish I could take the credit for teaching her how to putt, but all I did was point at a few things and leave her alone for a few minutes. Thanks for the GREAT product!
